From local village cafe-bars and restaurants offering a "Menu du Jour" to 1 starred Michelin restaurants in the region.
There are restaurants to suit every taste and budget!

Village lunch time menus
Village restaurants offer a good “Menu du jour” which will normally consist of 3 or 4 courses for as little as 11 Euros and sometimes even including your wine!  There are plenty in the area to choose from, two of our favourites are L’Etrier and Le Bistrot Gourmand. Both restaurants offer a buffet starter, choice of main course, cheese, dessert and wine for around 12 Euros!

Creperies and Restaurants
A good selection of more cosmopolitan restaurants for eating out at lunchtime or in the evening can be found in the nearby towns of Guemene-Penfao and Redon including a pizzeria (often the most popular with children!), creperies, traditional restaurants and even an Asian restaurant serving Chinese food and Sushi!
 Here are a selection:
L’Akene Creperie
A lovely creperie situated in the old port quarter of Redon since 1980. Serving galettes and crepes and other dishes all made with regional Breton produce.
Restaurant Pizzeria Intermezzo
A friendly restaurant in Guemene-Penfao serving traditional French and Italian food and pizzas (always a hit with children!) Terrace during the summer months.

Restaurants featured in the Michelin Guide 2018

The area is blessed with great restaurants, if you are a “Foodie” or “Gourmand” you won’t be disappointed. There are nine 1 Michelin star restaurants within Nantes/Rennes/Vannes triangle. There are also several restaurants with the “Michelin” Plate award and two with the “Bib MICHELIN” award.  The L’assiette Michelin or the Plate award is a symbol that indicates “restaurants where the inspectors have discovered quality food". ‘Bibs’ are awarded for simple yet skillful cooking for under €40 offering "exceptionally good food at moderate prices". The setting, service and comfort of the restaurant get a different rating: the fork and spoon for the quality of the experience.

These are a selection of the many restaurants in the region listed in the 2018 Michelin Guide, the information is as appears in the guide.

La Bogue
La Bogue
3 r. des Etats, 35600 Redon

In the Pays de Redon renowned for its chestnut groves, this restaurant has chosen its name well (boguemeans "chestnut bur"). A stone's throw from the market, the food evolves with the market and the seasons, and fetes fish Fillet of John Dory pan-fried with bay leaf and seasonal vegetables, and roast hake fillet with sun-dried tomatoes, chorizo and black olives... Service with a smile.

Here are a couple of recommendations as included in “The best restaurants in Brittany” (including recommendations for eating out on different budgets) chosen by the expert Greg Ward for the TELEGRAPH Travel 2017.
La Table de Jeanne
This bustling, very friendly place, next to Vannes’ fish market – always a good area to go to restaurant-hunting – is hugely popular as a romantic rendezvous with young-ish local couples, but attracts visitors too with its zestful take on traditional recipes. The changing daily menu, chalked up on a blackboard, always includes some meat, but the freshest fish from the market is the speciality, from clams or scallops to burbot spiced with turmeric. The three cave-like dining rooms make a snug retreat in low season, and there’s an exceptionally well-priced wine list.
Address: 13 place de la Poissonnerie, 56000 Vannes
Prices: lunch menu £14 except Sun, dinner a la carte, with typical starters around £10, mains around £20

Le Roscanvec
This half-timbered town house, on a busy little lane in the heart of old Vannes, makes an unexpected venue for the innovative, experimental cuisine of up-and-coming chef Thierry Seychelles. Regularly changing menus focus on local, seasonal ingredients; often there are just two main-course options, one fish and one meat, though they may combine surf with turf, as with foie gras in a smoked eel sauce. Prices are high by regional standards, but Roscanvec really is something special. In summer, there are a few outdoor tables; otherwise the dining room is upstairs.
Address: 17 rue des Halles, 56000 Vannes
Prices: lunch menus £22 & £26, except Sun; dinner menus £48–78
