On the doorstep of our gites at La Cour you can enjoy a gentle stroll through woodlands and around small lakes, the area surrounding the gites is designated a protected natural habitat. Follow the local River Vilaine as it meanders across open fields and past picturesque hamlets & villages. You could spend a month walking in the Loire Atlantique and Southern Brittany and never cross the same path. There are 7000 miles of paths consisting of 800 walks that make their way through unspoilt countryside, across deep forests, follow grand rivers and along the seashore.
The Pays de Redon area is rich with protected natural areas and offers the perfect place to explore on foot...

Saint Just Megalithic site
Just a few miles from the gites is the magnificent megalithic site at Saint Just. The site is extraordinary being the 2nd largest in Brittany and of great archaeological importance. The walks offers so much....the megaliths, a beautiful chateau, both a water and wind mill as well as the viewpoint over the lake - not to be missed! |
Saint James Way - Camino de Santiago de Compostela - Chemin de Saint Jacques de Compostelle
Our Brittany gites are located just a few miles from one of the celebrated Saint James Way or Santiago de Compostela pilgrim trails in Brittany. An opportunity to visit the beautiful chapel Sainte-Agathe in the village of Langon which was a Gallo Roman spa before being converted into a chapel in the 6th century.
